Available to full-time students whose permanent residence must be in the Greater Aurora area, the tri-cities and Kendall County. These scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate college students, and graduate students. It is preferred that all students contact The Aurora Foundation by phone to request an application.

jvsscholarship@jvschicago.orgMore than $500,000 is available for Jewish students who are identified as having promise for significant contributions in their chosen careers, and are in need of financial assistance for full-time academic programs primarily in the helping professions. Applicants must be born and/or raised in either Cook County, the Chicago metropolitan area, Northwest Indiana or have one year of continuous full-time employment in one of those areas. Refugees or asylums are encouraged to apply, as citizenship is not a prerequisite.

An applicant with moderately good grades must demonstrate financial need and have been a resident of Peoria County for five years immediately preceding selection. Serious consideration will be given to reputation, character, appearance, personality and apparent aptitude for a career in law. The amount of the scholarship is based on the degree of need and in some cases can fully cover tuition, room and board and all other expenses.
