This scholarship fund is intended to encourage racial and ethnic minority students to apply to law school and to provide financial assistance to the scholarship recipients. Awards of $5,000 will be made to entering first-year students and may be renewable for two additional years, resulting in financial assistance totaling $15,000 during each student's time in law school. A scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to a minority student who will be entering his or her first year of law school. Applicants' permanent residence must be in Massachusetts or Rhode Island. Applicants must also demonstrate strong academic achievement, financial need, a desire to work and reside in Massachusetts or Rhode Island upon graduation, demonstrated commitment to the community and a vision of contributions to the profession and community after graduation.

Up to six $1,000 tuition assistance scholarships will be awarded. These scholarships are open to all incoming first, second and third-year African American, Hispanic, Asian American, Native American and Bi-Racial AAJ Law student Members. Scholarships will be awarded to the applicants who best meet the following criteria:
- Exhibit an interest and proficiency of skills in trial advocacy
- Express a desire to represent victims
- Demonstrate a commitment to AAJ and dedication to its mission through involvement in an AAJ student chapter and Minority Caucus activities

DWT will award two scholarships, which will consist of a paid Summer Clerkship and $7,500 for second year tuition and expenses. Dykema will select a minority first-year law student at the University of Michigan to receive a $7,500 scholarship to be used for law school tuition and fees in the second year. This scholarship is automatically renewable for the student's third year if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and presents proof of continued enrollment. The Foley & Lardner Minority Scholarship Program provides eight scholarships each year to first year minority law students. Minority students in their first year of law school at the following schools are eligible for the Program: Berkeley, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Michigan, Northwestern, UCLA and Wisconsin. The Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship Program promotes academic excellence and diversity in law schools by awarding newly accepted law students with scholarships to help defray their educational expenses. The LMJ Scholarships will provide students with $10,000 a year for three years. In addition, several runner-ups will also receive a one-time gift of $10,000 in support of their law school education.

- Wolverine Bar Foundation Scholarship: The scholarships are awarded annually to minority law students, in good standing, who are either enrolled in Michigan law schools, or who are Michigan residents enrolled in out-of-state law schools. First year, first semester students are not eligible to apply. The applicant cannot be a former recipient of the Wolverine Bar Foundation Scholarship. Selection is based on financial need and merit of the applicant. The amount of the scholarship is at least $500.

- Damon J. Keith Scholarship: This scholarship is based on merit and is awarded annually to a law student who demonstrates a commitment to social equality and combating racism.
