The application process is open to all LGBT students nationwide regardless of level of education. The amount of annual support devoted to each scholar is between $8,000 and $80,000. Point Scholars are chosen for their demonstrated leadership, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, involvement in the LGBT community and financial need. Particular interest is paid to students who have lost the financial and social support of their families and/or communities as a result of revealing their sexual orientation or gender identity.

This scholarship awards $1,000 to a well-qualified LGBT candidate interested in pursuing a career in patent law. Applicants must be enrolled as second year law students, be eligible to sit for the Patent Bar Exam, and demonstrate strong academic achievement.
Deadline: The application process is open from June 1 - July 31.
