American Citizens for Justice is accepting applications for the Vincent Chin Memorial Scholarship Award. The Scholarship in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to a first, second or third-year law student. The applicant must demonstrate a previous one-year commitment toward working for the benefit of the Asian Pacific American community.

The AABA Law Foundation awards annual scholarships to law students who have demonstrated a commitment to serving the needs of the Chicago-area Asian Pacific American community, and who will continue to serve the needs of the Chicago-area Asian Pacific American communities through pro bono, public interest, and/or public service legal work. This year, the AABA Law Foundation intends to award one scholarship of $2,500 and one scholarship of $5,000 to law students who have exemplified that commitment.

The Asian American Law Fund of New York invites law students to apply for its Community Service Scholarships. These Scholarships represent the Fund's commitment to assisting law students with their tuition while encouraging them to use their legal knowledge and training to benefit New York's Asian American community. Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded to up to three law students who work with community service organizations in New York during the summer.

The JACL will award over 40 scholarships in seven categories: Entering Freshman, Undergraduate, Graduate, Law, Hagiwara Financial Aid, Creative and Performing Arts, and Special Awards. Applicants may apply under one category only. Applicants must be JACL members to qualify for a scholarship.
Deadline: The application process is open from October - April 1. Application materials must be postmarked by April 1.

Selections are based on demonstrated commitment to and interest in pro bono, public interest and/or public service legal work, financial need, leadership potential, maturity and responsibility and commitment to serving the needs of the Asian Pacific American community.
