Scholarships are available to all liberal arts degree holders of any regionally accredited U.S. institution who wish to pursue a CPA certificate. Scholarships are given based on academic achievement, leadership and future career interests and are contingent upon acceptance in a graduate accounting program. Each year, up to ten recipients will be awarded $5,000 and will be eligible for renewal for one more year, provided satisfactory scholastic progress is maintained.

This scholarship is open to all AAJ Law Student Members who are entering their second or third-year of law school. A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to the applicant who best:

1. demonstrates a commitment to AAJ and dedication to its mission through extensive involvement in AAJ student chapter activities;
2. expresses a desire to represent victims;
3. exhibits an interest and proficiency of skills in trial advocacy;
4. shows a financial need for the scholarship.

This scholarship seeks to recognize second-year University of Michigan Law students who, notwithstanding their academic standing in the middle of their class, hold out great promise of being beneficial contributors to the legal community or society as a whole, based upon their activities both in and out of the classroom. The scholarship will award $1,000 to one student (or between $500 and $750 if more than one student is selected) to help cover the cost of their third year at the University of Michigan Law School.

The Child Care Subsidy Program provides funds to students with children to assist them in meeting the cost of licensed child care. Priority for funds will be given to students with the greatest financial need. Information and applications are available at The Child Care Subsidy Program link above.
Deadline: Students who apply after March 15th for Spring/Summer and April 30th for Fall/Winter may be denied funding if all funds have been committed to applicants who applied earlier.

The Debate the Law Scholarship is a blogging/essay contest which awards the winner with a scholarship to be put towards higher education.   • CEW Scholarships are given at the graduate, professional and undergraduate levels to women and men whose education has been interrupted. The interruption in education must be for at least a) 48 consecutive months or b) a total of 48 months, not counting interruptions of less than 8 months. The interruption may have taken place at any point in the pursuit of higher education. If you feel your situation meets the intent, if not the exact criteria, and warrants an exception, please submit an explanation of your circumstances in writing for an evaluation by the eligibility committee prior to submitting an application. Approximately 40 scholarships are awarded annually ranging from about $1,000 to $9,000, with some larger awards given. Strength of motivation, promise of impact in a chosen field, academic record and potential, and creative and scholarly contributions, are among the criteria for choosing the scholars.

  • CEW Critical Difference Emergency Grants: Small grants are available for students (men and women) at University of Michigan. An appointment with a CEW counselor is necessary for consideration.

The Center also provides financial counseling and has in their library many reference volumes listing supplemental aid sources.  

varsity TUTORS MONTHLY SCHOLARSHIP 
Varsity Tutors offers a monthly $1,000 scholarship contest to students who write what is considered to be the best essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage will be able to vote via  social media on the submitted entries. The top five entries that have the most votes will then be reviewed by Varsity Tutors, one winner will be chosen and will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
