- Medicus Student Exchange: For studies in Switzerland, there are 1 to 4 awards annually ranging from $4,000 to $8,500. Applicants must submit proof of acceptance by a Swiss University, fluency in the language of instruction and evidence of other funding. Applicants must also be permanently domiciled in the United States and possess a 3.5 or higher GPA. For studies in the U.S., there are 1 to 4 awards annually ranging from $4,000 to $8,500. Applicants must submit proof of acceptance by an American University, fluency in the language of instruction and evidence of other funding. Applicants must also be permanently domiciled in Switzerland and demonstrate good academic standing.

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund is offering two different scholarship opportunities for the 2007-2008 academic year:
- College Scholarship Program: Scholarships range from $1,000 - $5,000. The Foley & Lardner Minority Scholarship Program provides eight scholarships each year to first year minority law students. Minority students in their first year of law school at the following schools are eligible for the Program: Boalt Hall, Duke, Florida, Georgetown, Michigan, Northwestern, UCLA and Wisconsin. One scholarship will be awarded at each school. First year law students include both summer starters and fall starters. Each scholarship, in the amount of $5,000, will be paid at the beginning of the student's second semester of law school. Interested students must complete an application and submit it to the Financial Aid Office by October 1, 2007.

The Latham Diversity Scholars Program is designed to increase the number of diverse attorneys who want to pursue careers in global law firms. To be eligible you must be a U.S. citizen enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school. You must have successfully completed your first year of a full-time JD program and you may not be the recipient of a similar scholarship award from another law firm. Other factors considered may include a candidate's ability to contribute to the diversity objectives of global law firms, success in overcoming any obstacles or challenges faced in deciding to choose law as a profession, academic and leadership achievements, and desire to practice in a global law firm environment.

- Wolverine Bar Foundation Scholarship: The scholarships are awarded annually to minority law students, in good standing, who are either enrolled in Michigan law schools, or who are Michigan residents enrolled in out-of-state law schools. First year, first semester students are not eligible to apply. The applicant cannot be a former recipient of the Wolverine Bar Foundation Scholarship. Selection is based on financial need and merit of the applicant. The amount of the scholarship is at least $1,000.

- Damon J. Keith Scholarship: This scholarship is based on merit and is awarded annually to a law student who demonstrates a commitment to social equality and combating racism. Applications are considered from any law student in good standing, attending law school in Michigan, or any Michigan resident attending law school out-of-state. First year, first semester students are not eligible to apply. Former recipients of the Damon J. Keith Scholarship are not eligible to apply. The amount of the scholarship is at least $1,000.

The Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver Program, under the law of the State of Michigan, provides free tuition for North American Indians in public, state, community, or public junior colleges, public colleges or universities, or federal tribally controlled community colleges. Under Michigan law, a student at the University of Michigan Law School who is not less than 1/4 quantum blood degree (which must be certified by the Tribal government or the Bureau of Indian Affairs) and is a legal resident of the State of Michigan for not less than 12 consecutive months qualifies for a full tuition waiver, irrespective of academic achievement. The scholarships may be subject to availability of state funding. For additional information or to request a tuition waiver application, contact the Office of Financial Aid for the University of Michigan (a distinct entity from the Law School's Office of Financial Aid). You may also visit the Web site of the Inter-Tribal Council of Michigan. The tuition waiver application must be completed by the student, their tribe and certified by the Inter-Tribal Council of Michigan.

The Center offers the following financial assistance:
- CEW Scholarships are given at the graduate, professional and undergraduate levels to women whose education has been interrupted. The interruption in education must be for at least a) 48 consecutive months or b) a total of 50 months, not counting interruptions of less than 8 months. The interruption may have taken place at any point in the pursuit of higher education. If you feel your situation meets the intent, if not the exact criteria, and warrants an exception, please submit an explanation of your circumstances in writing for an evaluation by the eligibility committee prior to submitting an application. Approximately 38 scholarships are awarded annually ranging from about $1,000 to $8,000, with some larger awards given. Strength of motivation, promise of impact in a chosen field, academic record, potential and creative and scholarly contributions are among the criteria for choosing the scholars.

- CEW Critical Difference Emergency Grants: Small grants are available for students (men and women) at University of Michigan. An appointment with a CEW counselor is necessary for consideration.
The Center also provides financial counseling and has in their library many reference volumes listing supplemental aid sources.
