The Docket
April 2 - 8
Docket Information
The Docket is the Law School's official means of
communicating important administrative announcements
and many Law School events to the student body. The
Docket is published weekly [bi-weekly June-August]
only in electronic form and the complete contents
are contained in this site. Students are responsible
for all information in each issue. In addition,
please check both your e-mail accounts and pendaflex
mail folders daily for important faculty and
administrative communications disseminated after the
week's Docket has been published.
Unless you request otherwise, announcements will
appear in one issue only.
Notices for the
calendar (not the Docket) should be
directed to
lawcalendarsubmissions@umich.edu.
Docket Web-based Submission Form
The Docket accepts announcements on a Web based
submission form. The article submission form is

Deadlines
Upcoming Financial Aid Deadlines
Please take note of these upcoming financial aid deadlines:
1. The 2006-2007 deadline for borrowing private and federal loans for this current academic year is Monday, April 2, 2007. If you need additional loans for this current academic year please apply before the deadline or we will not be able to process your request.
2. The 2007-2008 Financial Aid Deadline to apply for grants for the upcoming academic year is April 20, 2007. Complete application instructions are available at the following link:
www.law.umich.edu/currentstudents/financialaid/applying.htm.
If you need a private or Grad PLUS loan for the upcoming academic year, 2007-2008, then you should wait until July 2007 to start the application process. This is important because the 2007-2008 loan applications aren't available yet, your credit approval could expire, and the loan terms for 2007-2008 could change. If you apply too early it is likely that you will be required to complete a second application. Our private loan comparison chart is available online at
www.law.umich.edu/currentstudents/financialaid/LoanComparison.pdf. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding your eligibility for loans.
Third-year students please note Bar Study Loans have a different deadline that varies by lender. For more information click on the following link:
www.law.umich.edu/currentstudents/financialaid/pdf/bar.pdf. Thank You, Financial Aid 310 HH 734.764.5289
