Alumni

Lawyers typically make many job changes throughout their careers. We fundamentally believe that career counseling and assistance should extend beyond graduation, therefore, we are just as committed to helping our graduates obtain their career goals as we are to helping our current students.

The Office of Career Services offers a variety of online resources as well as career counseling with our dedicated Attorney-Counselors. Services offered by OCS include:

Career Counseling
Alumni contemplating a change in employers, in job markets, or even in career paths may call the Office of Career Services to schedule an appointment (in person or via telephone) with one of our Attorney-Counselors.

Lawclerks and Lawgovjobs E-mail Groups
For those interested in judicial clerkships or government employment, we have e-mail groups that receive regular job postings and articles of interest. Please also check out the Office of Public Service Web site for information about public interest careers.

Lawclerks E-Mail Group: Current students and alumni can join this e-mail group to receive e-mails with clerkship job postings, unexpectedly available clerkships, newly appointed judges in need of clerks, and articles of interest.

Lawgovjobs E-Mail Group: Current students and alumni can join this e-mail group to receive job notices and articles of interest. To register send an e-mail to Tammy Sindlinger at sindling@umich.edu and include your graduation date.
Alumni Job Bulletin
