Wrongfully convicted in 2001 for a murder on Detroit's northwest side, Dwayne became the Clinic’s third official exoneree in March 2010. The Clinic presented new evidence of his innocence, including exculpatory evidence previously suppressed by the prosecution. The Wayne County Prosecutor weighed a retrial for months, but finally dropped charges on March 24, 2010.
