SUMMARY:The defendant, Sean D. Patrick, was a pimp involved in sex trafficking of minor and adult females. The victims were usually young, and Patrick testified that he targeted poor, unemployed women and girls who came from disadvantaged backgrounds. He recruited young girls in Milwaukee, often at the Greyhound bus station, to be prostitutes. He physically abused his victims, often choking them, if they did not make enough money or follow all of his rules. He would send them on a bus to Chicago to prostitute. The victims would turn over all money to the defendant. The victims testified that they followed his rules because of fear of abuse. The defendant pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to sex traffic children, two counts of sex trafficking a child by use of force, fraud, or coercion, and one count of sex trafficking of a child. He received a sentence of 265 months to be served concurrently with his state court conviction.
