SUMMARY:Defendants were members of a criminal street gang known as the Mongolian Boys Society (MBS). The defendants forced minor females to engage in prostitution. The victims were coerced into performing commercial sex acts by threats of physical violence against themselves and their families. Some of the victims were friends and/or girlfriends with the defendants before they were forced into prostitution. Some of the defendants accepted plea agreements and received lengthy prison sentences, while other defendants were convicted of a number of crimes including false imprisonment, forcible rape, pimping, and pandering following a jury trial. The defendants received various prison sentences, some as long as 556 months.
