SUMMARY:Defendant Juan A. Moreno kidnapped a 13-year-old girl in Bexar County, Texas in 2007 and forced her to engage in commercial sex acts. He harbored the girl in a home and allowed men to have sex with her in exchange for money. The victim was tied to a bed, beaten, and drugged for approximately two weeks before escaping. She reported the crime months later. Moreno was found guilty of aggravated kidnapping, compelling prostitution, human trafficking, and super-aggravated sexual assault following a jury trial. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Defendant was a convicted sex offender.
