SUMMARY:The six defendants, John Butler, William Hornbeak, Jamine Lake, Kristen Land, Andre McDaniels, and Ronnie Presley ran a sex trafficking ring in the Houston area involving adult and minor female victims. Defendants all pled guilty to conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking and a number of other related counts. The Defendants ran the trafficking ring out of their modeling studios, health spas, massage parlors, and bikini bars. Defendants forced the victims' compliance through beatings and threats of violence and took all of the money that the victims earned from their commercial sex acts. Defendants were sentenced to a variety of prison lengths of up to 96 months.
