SUMMARY:Defendants operated three tanning salons and spas in the Seattle area that were fronts for a prostitution ring. The salons were called The Aloha Tanning Resort, The Avalon Spa, and The Malibu Tanning Salon. The victims offered services in the salon or were flown by plane across the country to provide sex services. The defendants bought the plane tickets and arranged the transportation. This particular scheme lasted for four years, but at least one defendant had been imprisoned previously for a similar scheme. All defendants pled guilty or had charges dismissed. Defendant Donald Frey plead guilty to Conspiracy to Transport Individuals in Furtherance of Prostitution and received 24 months imprisonment.
