SUMMARY:Victor Diaz was convicted of conspiring to aid in the sexual trafficking of minors. He was convicted along with his sister Evelyn Diaz. Evelyn ran a prostitution business which employed at least 2 minors, including Evelyn's sister. Diaz drove a minor and adult to a hotel room which was being used as part of a sting operation. Diaz waited in his car as the girls entered the hotel room. Diaz was arrested when the girls offered their services to the police officer. Diaz was mirandized and signed a waiver of those rights. Diaz admitted to law enforcement that he had driven girls for the purposes of prostitution previously, as a favor to Evelyn. He later denied that he knew Evelyn was involved in prostitution, that he was driving the girls to hotels for the purposes of prostitution.
