SUMMARY:The Olivos operated a bar (El Centenario) in Mission, Texas. Tereso Olivo paid smuggling fees for women to come to the United States from Mexico. The women lived in an apartment attached to the Olivo's house and paid $20 a month for electricity. The women worked at the bar for eight months and were transported between the apartment and the bar. The women seem to have been forced into prostitution as well. In addition to the women that were smuggled, the Olivos might have targeted other undocumented women to work at the bar. Tereso Olivo was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment.
