SUMMARY:From 1999 to 2005 Matthew Thompkins, a.k.a. "Knowledge" operated a prostitution ring of about 35-40 females in New York, Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Boston, and Miami. The youngest victim was 13-years-old. Thompkins recruited some of the victims by promising them a house and cell phone if they made enough money. Many of Thompkins' victims helped run his operation- recruiting new prostitutes and arranging transportation. Thompkins won a "Pimp of the Year" award twice at the "Players Ball". The female defendants aided in the transportation of minors and the money laundering parts of the operation. All defendants took plea deals. Thompkins was sentenced to 280 months imprisonment.
