SUMMARY:Hans Gouw, aka: Liong Hoat Gouw, Hady Gandasaputra was the leader of a company that recruited women from Indonesia to come to the United States to work as prostitutes and strippers. The women (including teenage girls) were forced to work for at least a year. The victims' travel documents and identification were confiscated. Additionally, they were closely monitored while living in a house under the control of Gouw. Defendant Gouw plead guilty of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, immigration fraud, and identification document fraud on April 26, 2005. On September 9, 2005, Gouw was sentenced to five and a half years in prison. Additional defendant Harjanto Komala was sentenced on May 27, 2005 to one year and one day in prison, with a $50,000 forfeiture.
