SUMMARY:Three defendants charged in recruiting a 15-year-old Seattle girl to prostitute in Portland. Jackson beat the girl regularly, and addicted her to cocaine to keep her willing to prostitute herself. Johnson helped post commercial sex advertisements for her on Craigslist and transport her to meet customers. All defendants pleaded guilty; most charges were dismissed. (Note that the superseding indictment contained two counts of sex trafficking, 18 U.S.C. 1591.) Jackson pleaded to sex trafficking of a minor. Johnson pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of a minor and received 188 months in prison, and was ordered to pay $49,433.73 in restitution, of which $30,163.73 was joint and several with Jackson. Miles pleaded guilty to misprision of felony and received 36 months probation.
