SUMMARY:

Defendant asked the victims, who were ages 15 and 16 and had run from a juvenile home to a hotel in Omaha, if they wanted to take a road-trip with him and his female friend. The defendant acknowledged that the girls would have to make money on the way. During the road-trip, the girls were told they would have to engage in prostitution at a strip club in Iowa to make money. For one month, the girls were prostitutes at the strip club. Defendant then asked the girls if they wanted to continue their work in Washington, D.C. for defendant's cousin or stay in Iowa to work at the strip club. One of the girls chose to go to Washington, D.C.; the other stayed in Iowa. At one time, Russell or his female friend placed an advertisement on Craig's list, picturing the two girls soliciting future "exotic services" work.
