SUMMARY:

Defendant and a cohort, James Price, transported two 14-year-old girls from Missouri to Chicago and for a period of two weeks forced them to engage in prostitution. While passing through Oklahoma, one of the girls testified that she asked to be taken home; Vik refused and said that the girls would have to "earn the money" to go home in Chicago. Once in Chicago, Vik forced the girls to engage in prostitution, hitting and injuring them when they refused. The girls were sometimes paid in pills, which Vik then "cooked," injecting the substance into himself and the girls.
