SUMMARY:

Defendants illegally brought their wives as well as other women into the United States and forced them to work as prostitutes in Vista County, California, near San Diego. Ventura brought his wife to the United States in 1997; Romero-Flores brought his wife in 1993. The women were afraid of their husbands and so endured the exploitation.
