Developing A Child Advocacy Clinic

The Child Advocacy Law Clinic of the University of Michigan Law School is the oldest such clinic in the nation and has often been imitated (which we invite).  Child welfare law is especially suited for clinical legal education because the caes are complex enough to challenge the best students yet discrete enough so that, with proper supervision, students can assume considerable ownership and control of the cases.  The personal rewards can be considerable as law students use their new skills in service of specific children and parents.

We offer the following resources for those who may be interested in developing a clinical program similar to our own.
