I am going to stray from the customary blog format as I have no one unifying theme underlying my thoughts. Thus any attempt at a full blown coherent writing would be futile. Alas, I am reduced to bullet points. More

I’m sorry that I neglected to post at the beginning of this month, dear readers. Most of my classmates and I have now fled Ann Arbor for pursuing many interesting jobs and the like. Also, for catching up slightly on sleep after final exams and the journal application process. More

There are only three reasons that I could contemplate why a person would read these blogs. The first and most obvious is that you want to go to Michigan for the Law School. More

Cue the cheesy music. Yes, I picked Michigan because of the people. Visit the schools you got into and ask yourself, would I want to spend the next three years of my life with people like this? If the answer is no, then the school will probably agree—don’t go there. But at a place like Michigan, it’s hard for the answer not to be yes. The people here are amazing. More

Less than a month into my 1L summer I find myself comparing my daily routine now to what it was before law school. Like everyone else I wondered what the transition would be like. Everyone approaches it differently. More

Today, I realized − mind you, this realization has occurred countless times − that I probably should not have duped Zearfoss by remememberizing the LSAT. Currently, that ruse is responsible for getting my behind rocked by my Trademark professor, a class in which, as a lowly 1L, I am already the black sheep.  More

Now that I've gotten a little bit of a better handle on when I can afford to be away from the books, I've decided that I'm going to make a good faith effort to check out Detroit and as much of Michigan as I can while here. More

So I’m halfway done with my summer job and it’s been really fantastic.  I couldn’t have asked for a better job.  I am in DC this summer—I definitely plan on moving here after graduation and am only applying to DC firms for fall OCI (more later). More

It hit me yesterday when I signed up for a study carrel in the library - do I check the box for 1L or 2L? I'm like Britney Spears in the 2002 box office hit Crossroads - I'm not a girl, not yet a woman. I hope that doesn't mean I'm about to Kiss Madonna, marry K-Fed, or shave my head. Or something like that. Look, it's been a long year - not everything I write can be a gem!. More

Unlike many of my classmates, I'm still in Ann Arbor for spring break. As a native, heading home means staying here ... and I'm having a blast. I've been chillin' with my little sister, who is at this moment raving about my famous shrimp salad -- it's seriously dangerous delicious! I'm listening to Norah Jones and the rest of the "love mix" that I made for my Valentine's Day festivities. Good times! More

At Michigan, one quarter of the entering 1L class starts their studies in June. This year, the summer starters took Civil Procedure and Torts, and I was one of those valorous 92. More

Ironically enough, the Kurt Vonnegut short story "Harrison Bergeron" has now appeared in my life three times in the last month. Such a coincidence merits an entry into my blog at 1:30 in the morning. After all, there comes a point where reading a treatise on Contracts begins to slowly (but very effectively) melt your brain. More
