Volunteering for the
Law School Fund

Giving your time on behalf of the Law School Fund is another great way to give back to the Law School. For information on any of the volunteer opportunities below, please contact Janice Glander, Director of Annual Giving, at jglander@umich.edu or (734) 615-4521.

Reunion Committees

Reunion committees reach out to classmates to encourage attendance at these memorable five-year gatherings. Committees also work together to raise their class gift – no small thing, since reunion giving comprises 50% of Michigan Law's annual unrestricted support. For these reasons, reunion committee members are an important part of our volunteer team. Please consider joining us for this fun, short-term volunteer opportunity.

Class Agents

Class agents serve as liaisons between their classes and the Law School. They update the School on classmates' professional and personal contact information, let classmates know about Law School events and alumni activities, and solicit classmates for annual gifts. Volunteering as a class agent is a wonderful way to maintain ties with your classmates and the Law School too.

Firm Captains

Firm captains are our volunteer fundraisers at law firms with five or more Michigan alumni. They encourage fellow alumni to make annual gifts to the Law School Fund with the goal of high participation by all the Michigan alums at the firm. We depend on our loyal captains to keep the maize and blue spirit alive at their firms!
