Nomination Process

All members of the Michigan Law community (alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends) are encouraged to submit nominations for the Distinguished Alumni Award. Please submit nominations in writing with a cover letter that provides reasons for making the nomination, a brief bio of the nominee, and relevant general background information such as news clippings or letters of support.

Nominations may be submitted electronically to or mailed in hard-copy form to Lara Furar, director of alumni engagement, University of Michigan Law School, 701 South State Street, Ann Arbor, MI  48109-3091.

The deadline for nominations is September 1, for each annual cycle.
