Who: We will be volunteering for the American Cancer Society at their Relay for Life of Anaheim Hills event. At Relay For Life events, communities across the globe come together to honor cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has already taken too much. In more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries, Relay For Life events comprise the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Every year, the Relay For Life movement raises more than $400 million. The American Cancer Society puts these donations to work, investing in groundbreaking research in every type of cancer and providing free information and services to cancer patients and their caregivers.

What: Volunteers will supporting the Anaheim Hills event by helping with event logistics (set-up, organizing materials, registration questions, etc.).

When: Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Where: Canyon High School, 220 S Imperial Hwy, Anaheim, CA 92807

What to bring: Attire is comfortable shoes and Michigan spirit wear. If desired, please bring a water bottle for your personal use during the volunteer activity.

Additional information: Lunch will be provided by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at the beginning of our volunteer shift. The event continues past our volunteer shift through 9 a.m. the following day; you’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like. Children are welcome to participate, but should be accompanied by an adult.
