Who: We will be volunteering at Camillus House. The purpose of volunteering at Camillus House is to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, and visit the sick among individuals served by the organization. Camillus House serves roughly 200 meals a day from our kitchen where most volunteers work, preparing and serving meals and helping clean the cafeteria.
 
What: Volunteers will be working in the cafeteria preparing and serving dinner and cleaning up after the meal.
 
Where : Camillus House is located at 1603 NW 7th Ave, Miami, FL 33136. Camillus House has a covered parking garage and you may park on any level.
 
When: Saturday, May 3, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Please arrive by 3:45 p.m.
 
What to bring: Please wear appropriate attire. The required dress for volunteers is long pants and shirt (no shorts, no tanks tops, exposed shoulders, or exposed midriffs, usually people wear jeans and a t-shirt); rubber soled shoes or sneakers, no sandals or flip-flops. Hats need to be worn in the kitchen, you can bring your own or one can be provided
 
Additional information:
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and the minimum age to volunteer is 14 years old. Parking is free of charge in their parking garage - you can access our garage through 15th street and at the gate dial #001 for the Guard House. Once you identify yourself they will let you in and you can park on the 4th and 5th level only. Please do not park in any reserved spaces. The dining hall entrance is on the first floor of the same building, to the left of the elevators. Please proceed to the kitchen area and our cook will be expecting you to give you instructions. Dinner will be provided after the volunteer shift by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
