Who: We will be volunteering with Mount Saint Vincent Home. Mount Saint Vincent Home provides abused, neglected, and traumatized children with a safe haven, individualized treatment, and education for the youth and their families.
What: We will likely be doing yard work type activities, although the exact nature of our activities will be firmed up a week or two prior to the actual event date. Details will be communicated with all volunteers prior to the event.
When: Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: 4159 Lowell Boulevard, Denver, CO 80211
What to bring: Volunteers are welcome to bring work gloves should they wish. Work clothes and sturdy, close-toed shoes are requested. Volunteers may wish to also bring a refillable water bottle.
Additional information: Because of the nature of the organization and the fact that some of the resident children will be around the property; all volunteers must be over the age of 18. Lunch will be provided by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations.
We will be volunteering alongside the local chapter of the University of Michigan Alumni Association. In conjunction with AAUM, volunteers are welcome to attend a post-event BBQ at a nearby park. Additional details will be communicated with all volunteers prior to the event.
