N’The Spirit Transformational Living

Who: We will be volunteering with N’The Spirit Transformational Living. This facility provides a safe, compassionate, empowering, spiritual, drug-free, sober recovery home for women. Through their program, women learn to become self-sufficient and how to lead productive lives.

What: Volunteers will be painting the living quarters and may do some additional household tasks, time permitting.

When: Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Please arrive by 8:45 a.m.

Where: The facility is located at 7225 South Yale, Chicago, 60629.

What to bring:  The organization requests that volunteers donate a towel, laundry detergent, and/or fabric softener as supplies are always needed. Please dress in clothes that are appropriate for painting and cleaning. If desired, please bring a water bottle for your personal use during the volunteer activity.

Additional information: Children who are old enough to paint are welcome to participate, but minors should be accompanied by an adult. Lunch will be provided by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations after the volunteer activity.
