The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes extraordinary alumni whose achievements exemplify the values and ethos of the University of Michigan Law School. Presented annually to one or more deserving alumni, the award is intended to highlight individuals who have made an exceptional impact on their profession, community, and/or Michigan Law.
All members of the Michigan Law community (alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends) are encouraged to submit nominations for the award. Please submit nominations in writing in a cover letter, providing reasons for making the nomination, a brief bio of the nominee, and relevant general background information such as news clippings or letters of support. Nominations may be submitted electronically to lfurar@umich.edu or mailed in hard copy form to Lara Furar, Director of Alumni Relations, University of Michigan Law School, 701 South State Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-3091.
The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2012. The 2012 Distinguished Alumni Award will be presented in the fall of 2012.
