Steven Rhodes, '73, is a bankruptcy judge for the Eastern District of Michigan and formerly served on the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Sixth Circuit. His undergraduate degree is from Purdue University. He formerly served as a law clerk for District Judge John Feikens, as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, and as a U.S. Magistrate. He is a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and a former associate editor of the American Bankruptcy Law Journal and the Michigan Law Review. He has lectured and written widely on bankruptcy law and procedure, and taught at the Law School from 1992-2002. He recently co-authored The Ponzi Book: A Legal Resource for Unraveling Ponzi Schemes (LexisNexis, 2012).
