Gary Ballesteros is vice president, law, and general counsel, Latin America, for Rockwell Automation Inc. Responsible for the company's legal affairs in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America, Ballesteros has been instrumental in managing a wide variety of legal issues in the company's fastest-growing region. Prior to taking his current role, Ballesteros was the company's chief litigation counsel and served as the first director of Rockwell's Global Compliance Office. Before joining Rockwell in 1997, he was a partner with the law firm of Jenner & Block in Chicago, and also served as an officer in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve. Ballesteros serves as pro bono counsel for the Immigration Law Clinic at the University of Wisconsin Law School, and has served as an adjunct professor of law at Marquette University Law School and the University of Michigan Law School. He received his BS, cum laude, from the University of Illinois in 1985 and his JD, cum laude, from Michigan Law in 1988.
