Daniel Fryer, ’18, is an assistant professor of law at the University of Michigan whose work draws on scholarship in social and political philosophy, law, the social sciences, and public policy. He also is influenced by social movements and intellectual discourse outside the academy.

Previously, Fryer served as an assistant district attorney in the Office of the District Attorney of Philadelphia, where he handled cases at the pretrial, trial, and posttrial levels. He is currently writing a dissertation on reparative justice as part of the requirements for his PhD in philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania.
