Joel Friedlander is a founding partner of Friedlander & Gorris PA, a litigation boutique recognized by
Benchmark Litigation as the "Delaware Firm of the Year" for 2015 and 2017. The 2020 and 2017 editions of
The Best Lawyers in America recognized him as "Litigation–Mergers and Acquisitions 'Lawyer of the Year' for Wilmington, Delaware." He has been profiled in The Wall Street Journal and named "Litigator of the Week" in The Am Law Litigation Daily. Chambers USA designates him as "Band 1."
Professor Friedlander has served as a lecturer on law at Harvard Law School. He is an adviser to the American Law Institute's Restatement of the Law, Corporate Governance, and is a member of the board of advisers of the University of Pennsylvania Institute of Law and Economics. Professor Friedlander received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, and his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He was executive editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
