Bloom, Jeremy

Assistant Dean for Career Planning

As the assistant dean for career planning, Jeremy Bloom oversees the Office of Career Planning, counsels students and alumni, and works closely with employers. A 2001 graduate of the Law School, Dean Bloom began his legal career as an associate in the Corporate Finance Department at Skadden in New York City. His legal experience also includes working as a senior counsel in the Enforcement Department at the New York Stock Exchange and at FINRA, interning for a federal district court judge in Detroit, and cofounding and managing a boutique law firm in southeast Florida. Immediately before joining the Law School in December 2013, Dean Bloom was senior compliance manager and counsel for Tower Research Capital LLC, a proprietary trading firm in New York City. In addition to obtaining his JD, cum laude, at Michigan Law, Dean Bloom graduated from the Honors Program at the University of Michigan with a BA, magna cum laude, in political science.
