Bayrex Martí rejoined the Law School in 2017 as assistant dean for student life. Prior to his appointment, he worked in admissions, financial aid, and student services for 10 years, first at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and then at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. As assistant dean for student life, Dean Martí leads the Office of Student Life, and works collaboratively with faculty and administrators to deliver consistent and coordinated student support. Serving as dean of students, he also works to ensure a vibrant, challenging, and academically rewarding environment both in and out of the classroom. Further, Dean Martí helps sustain an inclusive and equitable community that serves the needs of a broadly diverse student population. Dean Martí received his JD from the University of Michigan Law School in 2006 and his BA in political science,
summa cum laude, from the University of Puerto Rico in 2003.
