Andrew S. Doctoroff has served as a senior adviser to Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder since March 2013. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing Michigan's participation in the Gordie Howe International Bridge project. In helping to visualize how the bridge project might catalyze economic growth, Professor Doctoroff has supervised the completion of comprehensive logistics and urban redevelopment studies.
Prior to working for Gov. Snyder, Professor Doctoroff served as a law clerk for The Hon. Avern Cohn, a federal judge who sits in Detroit, and later was a long-time partner at the law firm of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, where he specialized in commercial litigation. Professor Doctoroff graduated with honors from Harvard College and the University of Michigan Law School.
